Thought spatter

A million thoughts claw
at one another,
spawning and brawling,
shredding and trampling
its siblings, parents.
Not a one survives
to impel this blurred
bag of bones to bear
it from its bruised
ephemeral state to
action, creation or
final fruition.

Unless you count this
poem, I suppose.

On the shallow water she lay.
In the sky cold stars hid.
Within the weeds none breathed.
Under the water none slept.
Within the stars none died.
